DDK9’s was founded by Marlon Grennan in 2004 and is family own and run by Marlon and his wife Lisa Grennan located on a breath taking 150 acres in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire. The DDKLine family continues to grow as more incredible people are brought onto the team – Derick, AP, Branden, Lenny, Kasey and more part time employees help with the daily operation of the business.
We are known for breeding and training the finest XL American Pitbull Terriers and proudly promote the well-being and reputation of this working breed with each carefully raised puppy and well trained dog in our growing family. We know the relationship a person chooses to have with his dog determines the dog’s behavior. Marlon learned this first hand when he adopted an abused rescue dog, Damon, and time and time again Damon proved what every dog needs and wants is a firm consistent leader….the leader of the pack. Marlon and DDK9’s exemplify this role. Learning to be the leader of the pack, you will not only bring out the best in your dog, you will bring out the best in yourself. As you master this way of life, you will restore dignity and responsibility to the special relationship between dog and man.

The fact that Marlon is the son of world famous Reggae innovator Winston Grennan lends some insight into where Marlon’s strong leadership qualities and pursuit of excellence come from. Just as Marlon seeks to create the best quality in his breeding and training techniques, his father also sought beyond the pre-existing norm. Winston did not just play Reggae. He is credited with creating the “One-Drop” beat which quickly propelled the little known music into the international mainstream.
